A T-shirt (T shirt or tee) is a style of shirt. A T-shirt is buttonless and collarless, with short sleeves and frequently a round neck line. In a 2008 USA Today survey, results revealed approximately 81% of the U.S. population have worn or will wear a T-shirt by the time of the next presidential election; 9,000 men and women were polled.

T-shirts are typically made of cotton fibers (sometimes others), knitted together in a jersey stitchthat gives a T-shirt its distinctive soft texture.
